One of the first things I researched after finding out I was pregnant was what skincare & beauty products are safe for me to use along with what cheeses I can still eat 😉 Luckily I didn’t have to change anything in my skincare routine other than take out retinol & the acne treatment I was using at the time which was Curology (love them!).
My makeup, on the other hand, was a hot mess. The products were pregnancy safe but they were filled with bad, dirty ingredients. I’m pretty sure I could have grown a 3rd eye from the foundation I was using (and no, not the invisible spiritual third eye, a physical third eye haha!)
I’ve been slowly working towards switching over to clean(er) beauty products for a few years now but I’ve been very stubborn and to be honest I couldn’t find a products I loved (thanks to lack of research). I loved what I was using! It matched my skin, it covered all of my “problem” areas & it lasted all day.
But the day I became sick from applying my foundation due to the added fragrance during my first trimester I took that as a sign for me to make a change.
I’m not here to educate you on using safer, “clean” products because I’m still learning! This post is simply about the products I’m using & loving at the moment 🙂

MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE
I love the ceremony of getting ready in the morning. I usually have my coffee, I put on an uplifting podcast (I’ve been loving The Daily Shine) or playlist, I open the blinds to let the sunshine shine through and I get right into it.
The first thing I do is splash cool water on my face & pat dry with a clean wash cloth. I then use Thayers Toner all over my face with a cotton round. I take a Qtip and remove any left over eye makeup with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.
Moving onto moisturizer I LOVE Biossance. Oh my gosh I am obsessed. Their products are a 10/10 for me. Their moisturizers are amazing. After I clean my face I use the SQUALANE + OMEGA REPAIR CREAM in the winter and their SQUALANE + MARINE ALGAE EYE CREAM. They are always running good deals so keep a lookout! Then I apply Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen. Love this sunscreen! It’s silky, doesn’t leave any residue behind & there’s little to no smell to it. Angelo loves it too!
And a new-to-me step – I moisture my growing belly, thighs & breasts with Osea’s Anti-Aging Body Balm and Summer Friday’s Babymoon Balm. It’s also a time for me to check in with Baby P and tell him about our day ahead <3
My nighttime skincare routine is pretty much the same. I just add two more products which are Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and The Ordinary Niacinamide. I apply the Niacinamide before my moisturizer. I also leave out the SPF at night.
MAKEUP PRODUCTS I USE
ILIA True Skin Serum Foundation in shade Tavarua. A nice dewy foundation that lightly covers my skin (I have dark sun spots that it doesn’t cover up the best but I don’t mind. I’m working on fading them!) I love this foundation for an everyday look but I would like something with a bit more coverage for long days / events.
Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer and Daytime Eye Cream in shade 3.5. Okay, hands down my favorite canceler! I have super dark circles and it covers them up well. I love the consistency too. The color matches my skin perfectly!
ILIA NightLite Bronzer Powder in shade Drawn In It took me a little bit of time to learn how to apply this bronzer. It’s very pigmented (to me) so I apply it like a contour & buff it out. I love the color though! It’s not super orange-y or pink-y.
ILIA Multi-Stick Cheek & Lip in shade At Last I’ve been looking for this color my whole life. It’s perfection! It’s not too rosey or too brown/peach. I looove it!
ILIA The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette in Warm Nude I’ve been looking for that perfect golden, shimmery eyeshadow for years. I tried so many! And this is my favorite to date. I love how this palette can work for both daytime and nighttime. I like to use the golden shadow as a base & the dark brown shadow for a smudge-y liner
ILIA Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara lovvveee this mascara. It’s buildable so you can have natural looking fluffy eyelashes or you can apply a lot for a dramatic bold look. I love how that it doesn’t chunk up or flake. It’s also very easy to remove & I never wake up with raccoon eyes.
MERIT Day Glow Highlighting Balm this was gifted to me by Merit & the only clean highlighter I have in my makeup bag. I really like it! And it shows up beautifully in photos.
MERIT Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in Pink Beet. Another gift by Merit – I love the way this lip gloss feels on the lips. Super hydrating & the color is really pretty. You can build it up for a bolder look or dap a little in the middle for a softer look.
