I had the absolute pleasure photographing Breighl Robbins, found of Ebi, for Mother Mag in February. Not only am I fan girl of Mother Mag, I’m also a fan girl of Ebi which is a plant-based postpartum care line with products ranging from oils to teas to underwear all with the thought of a new mother in mind. Any brand that encourages self care gets an A+ in my book but a brand who honors self-care for mothers, wow! I’m obsessed. Breighl gifted me a sample of The Oil which I’ve been lightly using on my face to clear up my acne & acne scares & I’m HOOKED! My scars are fading a little bit and fewer blemishes have been appearing. I plan to use this as a belly oil whenever that time comes for me 🙂 Mother Mag wrote a beautiful article & interviewed Breighl which you can view here.
This session opened my eyes in realizing that I would love to do more motherhood sessions at home. So I’m putting out into the universe that I would love to do a few motherhood sessions this year in your home. There’s something so intimate & beautiful about capturing moments in your very own home – it completes the story. The tricky thing with home sessions is making sure your home has the natural light that makes photographs pop – along with making sure that your home is styled in a way that you’re proud of since after all it will be the backdrop for your photos! But I’m really good at finding beautiful corners that work wonderfully – or maybe even a spot or two out in your yard in front of a flowering tree or whimsical greenery. I would personally say that my home isn’t ready to be photograph indoors but we have beautiful landscaping & I love the color & old colonial feel of our exterior. If you’re dreaming of a session at your home email me & we can chat!
I hope everyone is hanging in there & I’m just so excited to be blogging again. Thank you to everyone who takes time to read & enjoy my posts. I’ve been having a fun time planning blog posts & photographing new personal content…plan to see a lot of recipe &styling posts coming soon!
Sending my love & I hope you’re having a beautiful day.
