Yesterday was a beautiful day. Women & mother’s gathered together for a Mama Gathering in Mystic, CT at The Kula Project, a fresh and upbeat yoga studio & juice bar. Meg Tantillo, who is a nurse with a private practice who specializes in women’s wellness, gut health & fertility, spoke about postnatal depletion at the gathering.
Meg published an article on her blog that summarizes what she spoke about at the Mama Gathering with a PDF for you to download to learn more about postnatal depletion. Click here to read. AH! It’s so good, thank you for sharing Meg, you da bomb.
I started hosting Mama Gatherings in March 2018 after realizing how much Mother’s needed one another as they entered Motherhood. Some women are the first ones to have a baby in their friend group & are searching for mom friends just to simply relate to. Motherhood is absolutely beautiful, but there are many bumps along the way & sometimes you need someone to vent to who just gets what you’re going through.
I find a lot go joy in bringing people together & planning these events. Yesterday was exceptional as Mama’s gathered together sipping on fresh juice to listen to Meg speak about postnatal depletion, giving them the tools to make themselves feel better through their lifestyle, diet & supplements.
We opened up, shared stories & lifted those who were hurting & left with goodies from Meg, new contacts in our phones & hopefully a full heart.
I am so excited for my next Mama Gathering in fall. Details to come!
A very special shout out to Patti, of Salt, who helped organize this gathering & for Meg who I am sure helped many guide their way to a happier & healthier them.
xo,
