This session was sweet from the start and filled with the most love. The way that Amy loves her little Lily is inspiring and makes you so happy to witness. Amy, you’re an inspiration and I am so happy to have spent the day with you and your Lily girl.
Below is a section from my interview with mama Amy, pictures to follow! xx
What makes your Mother your role model? She is the warmest, kindest, selfless, strongest, smartest, and most reliable person I know. I have admired her my entire life. She has this amazing ability to do it all and never complain. She not only is the best mother to my brother and I, she is a newborn intensive care nurse and takes care of so many others. I always told her if I become half the mother she is I will be doing a good job.
When was the moment that you decided that you wanted to become a mother? For as long as I could remember I wanted to be a mother. I used to play with my dolls for hours and hours. I also used to love being around my baby cousins. Whenever I pictured my future, I always pictured myself as a mother.
The moment you found out you were pregnant- what were your feelings? I was getting ready for work and actually didn’t expect a positive result. However, I had a tiny inkling so I took a test. When the test said “yes” I couldn’t believe it! It was one of the happiest and most exciting moments of my life.
How has life changed for you since becoming a mother? In a way, I feel as though my life has just began and I was somehow put on this earth to be Lily’s mother. It’s hard to remember life without her now.
What is it about your child that you want to remember at this very moment?
- her sweet voice especially when she says “hi mama”
- how much she loves to read stories together
- her little wiggle when she walks
- how she always says “please, thank you, excuse me”
- how she says “awwwww” to animals and babies
- the soft, sweet curls in her hair
